1. Peru shock Chile to reach Copa final
Peru are through to the 2019 Copa America final after a 3-0 victory over two-time defending champions Chile.
Edison Flores, Yoshimar Yotun and Paolo Guerrero scored the semi-final goals for Peru, who have reached their first Copa final since 1975.
On Sunday Peru will face host nation Brazil in the final at the Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro. Head coach Ricardo Gareca said: “We’ve come through some tough moments in the Copa and we deserve to be in the final.”
2. Dutch to face the US
The Netherlands will play holders United States in the Fifa Women’s World Cup final. Jackie Groenen scored Holland’s extra-time winner in the 1-0 semi-final victory over Sweden. The Women’s World Cup final between the holders and European champions takes place on Sunday in Lyon, France.

3. Super Frank returns to the Bridge
Frank Lampard has returned to Stamford Bridge as the new head coach of Chelsea. The 41-year-old, who has signed a three-year contract, said: “Everyone knows my love for this club and the history we have shared. However, my sole focus is on the job in hand and preparing for the season ahead. I am here to work hard, bring further success to the club and I cannot wait to get started.”

4. No pressure for Thomas
Welsh cyclist Geraint Thomas is ready to defend his Tour de France title and is feeling no pressure going into the event as the reigning champion. Thomas told the BBC: “I’ve been super-motivated and pushing to try to win it again, because it was an amazing feeling winning last year, and I want to experience that again.” The 2019 Tour de France starts on Saturday in Brussels.
5. Barca could include four players in Neymar bid
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo Barcelona could offer four players to Paris Saint-Germain as part of a deal to bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou. Barca are prepared to include Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele in a swap deal worth around £152m.
6. Coco’s dream run continues
American 15-year-old Cori “Coco” Gauff is through to the third round of the women’s singles at Wimbledon. The history maker beat Venus Williams in round one and followed it up by winning again in straight sets in the second round against Magdalena Rybarikova. Gauff will play in the third round against Slovenia’s Polona Hercog tomorrow.

7. Tomic gets Wimbledon fine
The BBC reports that Australian tennis player Bernard Tomic has been fined his full Wimbledon prize money of £45,000 following his 58-minute first-round defeat to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Tomic was fined for not meeting the “required professional standard” during the 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 loss.
8. Juve prepare Pogba exchange
Serie A champions Juventus are prepared to offer Manchester United the choice of three players as part of a potential deal to re-sign Paul Pogba. It’s reported that Juve are keen to bring Pogba back to Turin and will give United the pick of Paulo Dybala, Blaise Matuidi and Alex Sandro.

9. F1 silly season starts
There’s still three races to go until Formula 1’s summer break but it seems that silly season has already started for rumours of 2020 team line-ups. Just this week there’s been reports that Max Verstappen could leave Red Bull for Ferrari or Mercedes and Sebastian Vettel potentially returning to Red Bull.

10. England thrash Kiwis to reach last four
One week ago it looked like England may miss out on qualifying for the semi-finals of the Cricket World Cup. But victories over India on Sunday and against New Zealand yesterday has sealed the host nation’s place in the last four. The 119-run win against the Kiwis means that England will now play in the World Cup semi-final against the group’s second-placed finishers next Thursday at Edgbaston.
