Spider-Man Far From Home confirms MIND-BLOWING Iron Man theory: Grab your tissues

It was always going to be emotional. Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed that Spider-Man 2 will bring the entire first three MCU phases to a close. The shocking death of Iron Man in Avengers Endgame was already expected to cast a long shadow over the movie, but a new layer of heartbreak has just been added. Even before Far From Home has hit cinemas, one of the most extraordinary fan theories just been proved correct leaving everyone wondering what strange magic Marvel possesses to make it happen.

Tom Holland has been openly speaking in recent interviews about how Far From Home is a “love letter” to Robert Downy Jr’s work in the Marvel universe.

The Endgame writers have already revealed that the heartbreaking “I love you three thousand” exchange between Tony Stark and his daughter was lifted directly from what the actor says to his own children.

But now it has been given even greater significance.

Frankly, it’s not a shock Marvel could do something like this, but, as always, it leaves everyone mystified about how they achieved it.

Earlier this year, one fan caused a sensation when she started putting all the MCU movies together.

Film blogger and journalist Amanda Santino noticed the total running time of all the MCU movies in Phases One to Three would come to an incredible three thousand minutes, if Far From Home came in at just over two hours as was widely expected. Two hours and nine minutes to be precise.

At the time, she added: “And I’m crying again.”

Well, it’s time for everyone to grab their tissues after the British Board of Film Classification confirmed Spider-Man 2 clocks in at exactly 129 minutes.

What sorcery is this?

There has never been the slightest indication Marvel edits and cuts its films for any other reason that the pursuit of perfection. Yet, how could all the film total exactly the same amount Iron Man loves his daughter?

Perhaps Doctor Strange has been involved?

Either way, it is yet another reason fans love Marvel to three thousand and beyond.
