Spice Girls at Murrayfield: Everything you need to know as girl power hits Edinburgh

Girl power hits Edinburgh tomorrow night as the Spice Girls take to the stage at Murrayfield .

Mel B, Mel C, Emma and Geri have been performing a whirlwind UK tour which kicked off on May 24 in Dublin.

And now they’re finally in Scotland for one night only.

We previously reported what you can’t take into the stadium , including umbrellas and large bags.

But now we’ve got all the details you need to know as the Spice Girls arrive at Murrayfield.

Four of the original five Spices will be pulling out all the hits when they take to the stage for their long awaited tour.

What time will the stadium open?

The west fan village will open at 3pm where ticket holders can get food, drink and any official merchandise.

The stadium will officially open at 5pm, with support act Jess Glynne on stage at around 7.15pm.

The foursome will take to the stage at around 8.30pm.

How’s the weather looking?

Unfortunately it looks like it will be heavy rain on Saturday night in Edinburgh. The venue is outdoors, and no umbrellas are permitted, so organisers are advising everyone to bring appropriate clothing.

What’s the easiest way to get to Murrayfield?

The easiest and quickest way to get to and from BT Murrayfield is by walking from Haymarket station. This will take around 15 minutes.

Small bags only

Scottish Rugby operates a ‘small bags only’ policy for major events at BT Murrayfield. The policy will be applied at the Spice Girls concert.

Ticket holders will only be allowed to bring in bags up to A5 size – equivalent to a small clutch bag – measuring 21cmx15cmx8cm. Bags larger than this will not be allowed into the stadium – this will be strictly enforced.

The small bags policy is a consequence of our ongoing management of security which focuses on keeping BT Murrayfield a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Set list

The Spice Girls have been performing a 20 song extravaganza in all of their previous shows, so we suspect Edinburgh will be no different.

Kicking off with Spice Up Your Life, If U Can’t Dance, Who Do You Think You Are , Do It, Something Kinda Funny, Military Cadence / Sound Off (interlude), Holler (with elements from Run the World (Girls) by Beyonce), Queer Tango, Viva Forever, Let Love Lead the Way and Goodbye.

Then the second act will be; Never Give Up on the Good Times, We Are Family (Sister Sledge cover), Love Thing, The Lady is a Vamp, Too Much, Say You’ll Be There, 2 Become 1, Intermission, Stop, Mama, Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life.
