Spa of the week: the new Tata Harper treatment menu at The Lanesborough

Vermont-based luxury natural skincare brand Tata Harper has launched its first treatment menu at a UK spa – and clean beauty aficionados are going to love it.

The recently renovated and extremely plush Lanesborough Club & Spa, which sits on the edge of Hyde Park between Knightsbridge and Mayfair, will welcome the new treatment menu in October. Each uses cult products from Colombian-born Tata Harper’s 100 per cent natural and organic eponymous skincare range, which has garnered a loyal celebrity following including the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Victoria Beckham, and earned her the nickname ‘queen of green.’

The entire range is free from toxins, fillers, artificial colourants and fragrances and synthetic chemicals and each of the iconic green bottles and tubs are handmade and packaged at her 1,200-acre organic farm in Vermont.

The brand has developed four signature treatments which will be available exclusively at the London spa using the brand’s potent natural products and incorporating techniques like facial cupping and Japanese massage to lift, sculpt and rejuvenate.

We went along to sample a sneak peek of four of the facial treatments ahead of the launch.

Tata Harper products at The Lanesborough

First, the Grounding Yogic Facial, elements of which were among our favourites. It starts with an aromatherapy treatment, in which the therapist guides you to take several deep breaths with one of the aromatic oils, followed by a singing bowl ritual to ground and zen you out prior to some top notch pampering.

After a deep cleanse with the Nourishing Oil and exfoliation with the Regenerating Cleanser, a Hydrating Floral Mask is applied followed by the yogic facial using the Boosted Contouring Serum. In the full treatment you’re then also treated to a scalp massage, followed by hand and feet treatments to give you an all over wellbeing boost.

The Cellular Repair Facial, incorporates Japanese lifting massage to tone and tighten using products from the Supernaturals range – the full treatment then also involves the use of jade rollers to iron out fine lines and boost circulation.

Another highlight was the cupping massage using the Retinoic Nutrient Face Oil, part of the Sculpting & Define Facial designed to lift and tighten. The small facial cups create a surprisingly strong amount of suction which is supposed to detoxify and boost blood circulation, and is oddly very relaxing.

Meanwhile, the Illuminating Reset Facial uses a multi-acid peel containing three types of hydroxy acids to boost cell turnover. While usually used on the face, we had this applied to the décolleté in our taster of the treatment; and the skin on our upper chest has never looked so glowy.

The treatment was finished off with serum, eye serum and moisturiser.

Verdict

You can really feel the potency of each Tata Harper serum, cleanser and mask as soon as they touch your skin. If you’re unfamiliar with the products, the new spa menu is a great place to start getting acquainted with one of the clean beauty industry’s most exciting brands. The Lanesborough Hotel also has to be one of the fanciest settings in London do so.

Price

Not cheap – the new Tata Harper treatment menu at The Lanesborough launches on October 1, 2019 and prices range from £60 for a manicure to £565 for a full spa package.
