Southeast Asian esports and gaming company Ampverse has announced the launch of its new metaverse-focused business division Ampverse Web3.

According to the release, Ampverse Web3 has been created to build ‘highly engaged gaming communities’ through its four main pillars: AMP Guild, metaverse experiences, digital collectibles and AMP Guild Esports.

Specifically, AMP Guild is a play-to-earn (P2E) guild that looks to provide education and NFT assets to its community. This is expected to enable its community to earn within blockchain games such as Spider Tanks, Axie Infinity and Townstar.

On the other hand, AMP Guild Esports is an esports division which will focus on identifying, training and commercialising gamers within the developing GameFi space.

Ampverse Web3 will also look to offer fans customised experiences in metaverses using the organisation’s teams and talent. Additionally, one of the department’s creative arms will focus on launching NFT collectibles and other digital assets.

Ampverse is mostly known as the parent company of multiple Asian esports organisations. This includes SBTC Esports (Vietnam), 7Sea (India), as well as Thai esports team Bacon Time and Made in Thailand.

Ferdinand Gutierrez, CEO of Ampverse, commented: “We have and always will believe in the power of community. This latest venture will allow Ampverse to take tens of millions of gamers from Web2 to Web3 through a series of innovative products, ultimately delivering upon our vision of bringing inspiration to every gamer, everywhere.”

The launch of Ampverse Web3 follows the company’s $12m (~£9.16m) Series A funding round earlier in the year. Its report highlighted that the funding would be utilised to bolster its operations within esports and the P2E gaming scene.
