Since Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams first met on the set of Game of Thrones, they’ve had each other’s backs. Is it any wonder, then, that for Williams’s debut sex scene in the franchise Turner showed her support by posting a video on Instagram in celebration?
Turner toasted the moment by drinking some red wine and congratulating Williams’s character Arya Stark on losing her virginity to Gendry (Joe Dempsie) in episode two ahead of the Battle of Winterfell.
“In honour of Easter I guess Game of Thrones wanted the storyline to have a little Easter bunny hop hop hopping into that pussy,” she said before taking a sip and adding: “That’s the ting.”
When Williams first read the scene she thought the producers were only joking. “At first, I thought it was a prank,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “I was like, ‘Yo, good one.’ And [the writers were] like, ‘No, we haven’t done that this year.’ Oh fuck!”
She continued: “I got to the read-through and I’m reading the scene and thought, ‘Oh, we’re actually going to do this. When do I shoot this? I need to go to the gym.’ A whole list of things.”
