Sophie Turner kicked off the X-Men: Dark Phoenix press tour in Paris wearing a black Mugler minidress that was a departure from the Louis Vuitton wardrobe she normally wears. Held at the Cafe De L’Homme, she joined fellow castmates, Jessica Chastain and Michael Fassbender, in front of the city’s iconic landmark, the Eiffel Tower.
Styled by Kate Young, the Game Of Thrones actor paired the black skater dress (with contrasting seams) with bronze heels and gold hoop earrings. Turner and Chastain – who wore an off-the-shoulder look by Ralph Lauren Collection – even performed the French can-can together.
Up until now, Turner has been on a break from acting to focus on her mental health and wellbeing. “I took a break off work to focus on my mental health because I thought it was important,” she told Dr Phil McGraw during an appearance on his podcast, Phil in the Blanks. “So I’m still on that, and I’m just about to go into press for the final season of GoT and a movie Dark Phoenix that I did. The latest X-Men [movie] is about to come out in June, so I’m getting ready for a big press tour for that.”
In the latest film in the X-Men franchise, Turner plays the role of telepath Jean Grey. Possessed by an extra-terrestrial force, Grey witnesses her fellow mutants trying to save her before it’s too late.
