Social Bite co-founder announced as keynote for Scottish business networking event

The co-founder and former director of Social Bite has been announced as the headline speaker at a Scottish business networking event.

Alice Thompson, who left the company to set up her own business coaching and consultancy company, will be taking the keynote slot at the Love Your Business event.

The event was established in 2018 by public relations specialist Michelle Brown to help bring businesses together.

It previously took place at the Black Ivy in Edinburgh, but has been running online since March 2020 due to coronavirus restrictions.

The event has helped businesses share contacts, referrals and build their network, with speakers such as Chris van der Kuyl, chairman and co-founder of 4J Studios.

Thompson will be speaking about creating and expanding Social Bite and influencing changes in the Scottish homeless system, creating education programmes and entrepreneurship for schools and universities.

She was responsible for founding the Wee Sleep Out, organising large-scale events and working with celebrity ambassadors, including George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio.

“I first spoke at this event over three years ago and so much of my life has changed since then, in particular, making the decision to fly solo and follow my dreams of using my experiences and learnings over the last 10 years to help other people in business who want to lead with integrity – I’m really looking forward to it,” she commented.
