Soccer Aid 2019: Martin Compston and James McAvoy in Usain Bolt's team against England


Scottish stars Martin Compston and James McAvoy will line up alongside Usain Bolt and Eric Cantona in tonight’s Soccer Aid 2019.

The Line of Duty and Hollywood actors have officially been named in the Rest of the World Squad for the clash against England to raise money for UNICEF.

Celtic fan Compston was named in the starting 11, while X-Man McAvoy will begin on the bench.

Athletics legend Bolt will captain the team, while Sir Mo Farah leads a strong opposition side managed by Sam Allerdyce and TV host Susanna Reid.

The latter’s Good Morning Britain co-presenter Piers Morgan and King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp are in charge of the England squad.

Stars for the sporting and celebrity world face off against each other in what will be the eighth time the showdown has been held, according to The Mirror.

As such, the chances of TOWIE star Mark Wright clattering into former Arsenal star Robert Pires is a very real one; likewise One Direction’s Niall Howan being schooled by Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.

All money raised is for a good cause in UNICEF who protect children from danger across the world and since Soccer Aid started thirteen years ago, £30miillion has been raised for the charity.

Kick off takes place at 7:30pm on ITV – Here’s a look at the team sheets ahead of the encounter at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge:
