THE LOWDOWN
Hidden away on a farm in rural Hampshire – between villages of cute thatched cottages, quaint pastel-coloured towns and babbling brooks – these four stunning treehouses sit in a patch of woodland overlooking a vineyard.
Each boasts an enormous bathtub on its deck, a beast of a BBQ, floor-to-ceiling views and a wood burner.
Rain showers and achingly cool interiors add to the luxe vibe.
Plus, two of the treehouses have bunk beds, as well as a double, and all are pet-friendly.

WHAT WE LOVED
Living out our ultimate Japandi dreams, our apartment on stilts came with a lovely welcome hamper of bubbly from the neighbouring vines, goat’s milk soap and locally roasted coffee.
There are walks aplenty from your doorstep, plus book a vineyard tour and tasting with winemakers Black Chalk to learn more about English sparkling wine and why it gives champers a run for its money. Tours cost from £20 per person (Blackchalkwine.co.uk).
Just 10 minutes’ drive away is Stockbridge, with its high street of independents – grab moreish picnic pastries for your rambles from food emporium Thyme & Tides, from £3.50 (Thymeandtidesdeli.co.uk).

WHAT WE DIDN’T
In The Perigord treehouse, the lack of curtains in the living room is brave – being the first on the plot, all guests walk past.
And although this place could be perfect for a newborn getaway, the charge of £15 for a baby to stay, when no cot or highchair is offered, is unusual.
OUT & ABOUT
You’ll find The Mayfly pub with its beer garden right beside the River Test just a 10-minute stroll away.
Tuck into locally sourced smoked trout with cider dressing, £8.25, and zingy aubergine salad with toasted almonds and piquillo peppers, £11 (Mayflyfullerton.co.uk).
A 20-minute drive away is Mottisfont, with its pretty house, incredible walled garden and beaut of a river walk – spy trout jumping as you go. Entry costs £15 per person (Nationaltrust.org.uk/mottisfont).

For boutique shops and brunch, hit nearby Winchester, popping into H&B Style for gorgeous interiors (Handbstyle.com) and Ellie And Bea for beach-chic threads and trinkets (Ellieandbea. co.uk).
Keep energy levels up with peanut butter sandwich cookies at General Store on The Square, from £3, while also stocking up in its bursting larder out back.
