So it looks like we're all going to be wearing Crocs this season (and it's all Justin Bieber's fault)

Just when you thought they were gone forever, Justin Bieber launches his own Crocs collection with Drew. Yup, you heard us right, the singer is trying to propel the world’s most divisive shoe into international cool-dom. And we are CONFUSED, very confused.

To top that, the Crocs X Justin Bieber with Drew collaboration, has, believe it or not, sold out already. Last year, Bieber launched a genderless fashion line called Drew House, which became very successful but Crocs, really?

So, what makes this shoe so in-demand? These classic yellow clogs come with eight accompanying jibbitz (the tiny novelty charms that go into the clog) and are priced at £59.99.

If you’re left wondering if this is a completely random collab, it’s actually not as far-flung as you’d think. Throughout Bieber’s career, he’s never shied away from sporting a pair of Crocs in public. In fact, they’ve made it to the airport with him, for a casual downtown stroll, I mean, it makes sense; of course, the process is so effortless, slip them on, and BAM, you’re out the door in no time.

In a published statement for his collaboration, Bieber spoke about his new partnership with the footwear brand; he mentioned, “As an artist, it’s important that my creations stay true to myself and my style. I wear Crocs all the time, so designing my own pair came naturally.”

Earlier this month, Bieber teased us with a sneak peek preview of the collaboration. The upload was of a yellowish pair of Crocs casually floating on a pool with the “Soon” caption. After he posted the image, Crocs share price reportedly rocketed.

No doubt, with most people swapping dressier shoes for something comfier during lockdown, Crocs might have more of an appeal which could be the reason for the increase in sales they’ve seen over the last few months.

As most shoe fanatics will know, Crocs really do know how to make a kicking collaboration. They’ve already had a number of big-name endorsements, teaming up with the likes of Balenciaga, Post Malone and more. We reckon this hookup with Justin Bieber could very much prove to be one of the biggest for the brand to date.

Like every superstar collection, once you’ve hit a sell-out, it becomes even more desirable, with many fans willing to spend crazy money to get their hands on a pair. We’re already starting to see the Croc shoe go for almost twice its initial cost.

Crocs? Cool? We never thought we’d see the day.
