South Korean actress Kim Mi-soo died ‘suddenly’ aged 29 (Korean age 31), as revealed by her agent on Wednesday.

The cause of her death has not yet been disclosed to the public but her family are currently in ‘shock’ and are ‘grief-stricken’.

Her agency Landscape asked fans to not spread any rumours about how she died.

They said in a statement: “Kim suddenly left us on Jan. 5. The bereaved are deep in their sorrow at the sudden sadness.

“Please refrain from reporting false rumours or speculation so that the bereaved family, who are in shock and grief-stricken, can reverently commemorate the deceased.

“As per her family’s wishes, the funeral will be held quietly in private.

“Please wish for Kim Mi Soo to rest in peace, and once again, we offer our deepest condolences to the deceased.”

The actress gained a lot of popularity when she joined Snowdrop as Yeo Jeongmin, a student activist.

It wasn’t a major role but viewers loved her as the fourth-year History major student and Young-ro’s dormmate.

The series was her most recent and last appearance on television.

Main stars in Snowdrop include Blackpink’s Jisoo, Bride of the Century’s Jung Hae-in, and Yoo In-na.

Kim also appeared in the South Korean film Memories in 2019.

The late actress started her career in 2018 in Lipstick Revolution. She was also a supporting character in Kyungmi’s World.

In 2020, she had a role as the female protagonists’ sister in Hi Bye, Mama!

She was reportedly cast in Disney+’s Kiss Six sense, which was meant to air in the beginning of 2022.

Following her sudden death, fans took to social media to pay tribute to the talented actress.

“You’ll be missed May your soul rest in peace, Kim Mi Soo,” one fan posted online.

Another said: “Aside from Snowdrop, Kim Mi Soo also stars in Hi Bye Mama, Memorials, The School Nurse Files, Yumi’s Cell, and Hellbound. Rest In Peace. YOU WILL BE MISSED!”

“She’s one of my fave characters from Snowdrop,” tweeted a fan. “You will always have a special place in our hearts.”

One fan paid their condolences: “heaven gained another angel. rest easy, kim misoo.”
