‘He said to me, “You guys have basically written the one scene that I can’t say no to,” which was really, really nice. When you talk about the interactions, that’s my favorite scene.  I feel like every note – even Tom’s little facial expressions when he says, “Oh, still stronger” [after he punches Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor] is great.’

The 54-year-old Emmy winner told EW it was ‘unbelievably cool to work with Tom Welling’ because ‘Smallville was an absolutely amazing piece of work in terms of reimagining a character.’

Part two of Crisis on Infinite Earths also included two other dueling Supermen – Brandon Routh and Tyler Hoechlin.

The five-night crossover event uniting the superhero casts of Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow resumes Tuesday on The CW.
