The 3,898-piece stadium replica takes around 7½ hours to build.

It costs £250 and includes the statue of Sir Alex and the stand named after him following his 27 years of success there.

The set is described as an intricate model and a ‘challenging building experience’ by Lego, whose interlocking building bricks have been a kid’s favourite for 70 years now.

This, however, is recommended for over 16’s only, and the Old Trafford model has grabbed the attention of more than Sir Alex at the club.

Current boss Ole Solskjaer had a build off against former captain and club legend Brian Robson, but admitted it had him flummoxed and he left it to his family.

Solskjaer said: “I was challenged to build a Lego Old Trafford against Brian Robson.

“I did it – or should I say we did, because it was mainly my family. I didn’t have the patience.”

Sir Alex has not left his home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, since lockdown began in March.

But pal and former club kit man Albert Morgan said: “He is in good form, doing his exercises every morning.

“He has got his dumbbells out, he is on his rowing machine, his walking machine, so he is doing well.”
