Sinitta has discussed her coronavirus journey, claiming her ex Simon Cowell knew she was ill due to psychic powers.
The 56-year-old star old The Mirror she felt like she’d ‘swallowed a packet of razor blades’ after contracting the virus.
She added: ‘I caught the virus after doing a club gig.
‘I was in bed for about a week. I didn’t tell Simon I was ill but it wasn’t long before he got in touch.
‘We speak quite frequently. I didn’t call as I didn’t want him worried – I thought, “Well, there’s nothing he can do.”’
However, her close friend had a sixth sense about Sinitta’s health.
‘He told me, “We have this weird connection, I can just tell when something’s wrong.”’
Sinitta had been performing a London gay bar The Eagle shortly before falling ill.
‘It was a good night but we were all hugging and kissing, all of us sweaty in a closed space. There was no social distancing at that point.
‘Next morning I couldn’t breathe.’
Sinitta was previously seen in London’s Soho back in February wearing a face mask.
On Saturday, another 917 people were confirmed to have died after contracting coronavirus, taking the UK death toll to 9,875, the Department of Health (DoH) reported.
This included 823 dead in England, with an 11-year-old becoming the youngest victim of the outbreak so far.
