British actor Sienna Miller has opened up about the abuse she has faced within the movie industry, claiming she’s been “screamed at” during her career.
In an exclusive interview with digital magazine PorterEdit, the Factory Girl star said she felt “fortunate” that no one has ever made unwanted sexually advances towards her while on a job, but that she has been “underpaid, undervalued and treated like s**t.”

“I was fortunate that I’ve never – of course, we’ve experienced sexual harassment in our lives because we’re women – but I’ve never, within my industry, had that experience.
“No one had ever, luckily, propositioned me in that way, or gone there.”
Discussing the Time’s Up movement – which aims to encourage equality in film and television as well as close the gender pay gap between male and female actors – Miller admitted to receiving bigger paycheck since it began.
“I recently got paid a significant amount of money for the first time in my entire life for a film that I did,” the 39-year-old noted. “I finally understood how it must have felt to be a man. Not as much, but I actually got paid [more than ever].
“I really do feel like this moment is just empowering, like, ‘Why the hell shouldn’t I be doing this? Why not?'”

Miller will next be seen in 21 Bridges, a crime thriller also starring Black Panther’s Chadwick Boseman, and US mini-series The Loudest Voice opposite Naomi Watts and Russell Crowe.
The latter centres on Fox News founder Roger Ailes, who was a media consultant for Republican presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush and faced sexual harassment allegations in 2014 and 2016.
That same year, he was an adviser on Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign.
