Sidney Charles selects ten tracks for Ibiza dance floors

GERMAN DJ/producer Sidney Charles is undoubtedly one of his country’s finest producers to emerge in the tech house domain over recent times.

Championed by a host of the scene’s major players, it’s no surprise that his productions have led to him signing to some of electronic music’s most vital labels, with 8bit, Moon Harbour, Moda Black and Hot Creations among those he’s repped with esteem. A man whose sound seems to mature and get better by each passing release, Charles has become a regular in Ibiza over the past few years and is set to play Amnesia’s always massive Opening Party on 9th May. If it happens on that date that is. If it is delayed due to the current crisis, you can be sure that when Ibiza does open for business again Sidney will be there, raring to go.

Also catch Sidney Charles streaming live this weekend as part of the fundraiser to support the Red Cross in Ibiza in association with DanceTelevision’s Stay Home Festival. He will be joining the likes of Pete Tong, Luciano, Felix Da Housecat, Jack Back (David Guetta), Paco Osuna and more this weekend for a huge dance music internet event. S.A.M. – Fury’s Laughter

I love this tune a lot! The biggest house hit of last year in my opinion. I love it especially because it brought deep house music back on the radar of many people. Since then I can feel that this kind of deep, groovy house sound is having a bit of a hype again! Thanks to PIV and SAM!!

Sweely – The Never Ending Groove

Sweely has been in my playlist a lot lately. This tune is by far my fav from him… great groove and energy and you can play it at any time.

Dirty Channels – Catch Me

I love the funky ruff vibe in here! The vocal creates a great vibe and when the baseline slowly comes in the track generates a lot of energy on the dance floor.

Alex – Filtri Organi (Traumer Remix)

This trauma remix is just a great piece of art. I love the melodic super long break down that ends up in dropping super dry and groovy. The energy is great and the groove
Is just exceptional!

Sidney Charles – Sub Society

Sub Society is my debut release on my freshly launched label Heavy House Society. I put most of the focus on the groove and I wanted to make and minimal but at the same time playable on the bigger dance floors so I kept the energy high during the arrangement.

Toman – Turbulenica

Big fan of Toman. He is on fire lately delivering bombs after bombs. This tune is fresh out on Archie Hamilton’s label. This track just makes you wanna move and its so on point. Vibe is great and the crowd love the drop after the breakdown.

Michael James – O.H. Groove

Fuse and Infuse are big part of my playlist. I love the darker deep and groovy sound they stand for..this chugger from Michael James is amazing and the melodic part of the main breakdown makes me goosebumps!

ANOTR – Don’t Mind Ya Weight

Lovely tune by dutch duo ANOTR. The guitar hook is just sick and it creates a funky vibe. All over groove is decent as well. I love what they are putting out on their label NO ART at the moment.

Tom Wilson – Techno Cat

This old school tune is one of my fave peak time weapons! The bassline is just great and the main break down is simple but still it just works makes people go mad!
