When it comes to lip balms, we’ve probably tried them all, and realised that so many of them are not delivering what they claim. Sometimes we blame our lips for being “too dry”, or think we should be applying more – topping up every few hours and only ending up making them even drier.

However, there’s one lip balm that’s a best-seller for a reason, the celeb favourite By Terry Baume de Rose Nourishing Lip Balm, £40 that’s become a firm fixture in handbags and on dressing tables across the country. This indulgent balm smells like the most beautiful bouquet of roses ever, thanks to the fact that it’s packed with rose butter, rose blossom essential wax, rose hip oil, black rose extract and pastel rose extract. So much rose.

The balm also contains antioxidant vitamin E, SPF15 and heaps of strengthening ceramide to encourage natural exfoliation, keeping your lips so unbelievably velvety soft you’ll want to keep touching them (but hands off).

Shoppers agree it’s worth the hype, with one reviewer calling it, “the best product I’ve ever used on my lips. And oh, have I tried some at my ripe age!”

Another wrote, “In a lifetime of searching this is by far the best balm for my sensitive, blister-prone lips.”

One buyer said, “I have found THE BEST balm, that really worked like magic on my dry lips, just over one night!” while others said, “You don’t need to keep reapplying – a little goes a long way.”

The good news is that the Baume de Rose collection has other products too, including a luxurious face cream, hand cream and body cream – and they’re just as worthy.

The Baume de Rose Face Cream Moisturizer, £55 has been dubbed a giant version of the lip balm, offering the same moisturising power that feels indulgent and lightweight, leaving skin feeling plumped up and glowing. It’s blended with rose butter, rose flower essential wax and rosehip oil, which have pollution-fighting properties, helping to reduce redness and inflammation. Basically, putting this on is like giving your face one big rosy hug.
