Shirley Ballas: Strictly Come Dancing 2019 judge accidentally flashes knickers at launch


Shirley Ballas, 58, exposed a lot more than intended at whilst preparing for the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 red carpet launch when she was pictured rehearsing with her fellow judge Bruno Tonioli, 63. Clad in an elegant blue and white gown, with pleat detailing and a corset-style design, she was snapped hitching up the floor-length skirt as she made her way across the outdoor stage. Shirley put her shapely pins on full display, elongating them further in a pair of strappy stilettos, but also flashed her knickers at the same time. Bruno, meanwhile, looked concerned for his co-star as he was captured staring at her bottom half, appearing to be worried she might suffer a fashion faux pas.

Aside from her distracting wardrobe malfunction, Shirley also showed off a brand new look, debuting a fresh haircut.

The Queen of Latin looked glamorous as ever with a sleek bob cropped above her shoulders.

Behind-the-scenes, Shirley was snapped posing with new judge Motsi Mabuse, 38.

Motsi looked sensational in an asymmetric black top with ruffle detailing and a dramatic red tulle skirt.

She cinched in her waist with a black belt as she beamed for the camera while Shirley gave a cheerful wave.

Tonight’s red carpet launch marks the first time all the Strictly Come Dancing contestants, professionals and judges will get glammed up as they make their sequinned debut.

In addition to the cast of Strictly 2019, pop icon Kylie Minogue, 51, also took to the stage to perform with the professionals.

She showcased her décolletage in a plunging blue frock, wearing her famous blonde dresses in a loose down ‘do of gentle waves as she sang and danced.

The Strictly celebrities will take to the dance floor for the very first time in less than two weeks.

The 2019 series is set to kick off on September 7 when viewers will tune in to see them learn who will be their professional partners.

After Darcey Bussell, 50, announced she was leaving the show, Motsi, will be making her debut on the judging panel.

The older sister of Strictly pro Oti Mabuse, 28, the dancer has been a judge on the German version of the show, Let’s Dance, since 2011 and is also a former South African Champion and German Latin Champion.

She will be taking her place alongside long-time judges Craig Revel Horwood, 54, and Bruno.

Meanwhile, Shirley is also returning, having replaced head judge Len Goodman, 75, two years ago.

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 launches September 7 on BBC One.
