Shirley Ballas Instagram: Strictly Come Dancing judge 'excited' after making big move

The Queen of Latin, 58, previously told fans she was looking forward to moving home to the UK in order to spend more time with her mother. Today, Strictly Come Dancing star Shirley Ballas enjoyed a leisurely afternoon out and about with her mother, sharing her joy with her 121,000 Instagram followers. In a video, she said: “We’ve been shopping to get all our things. And my mum said that we are now sitting waiting for the taxi ’people watching’, is that what you call it mum?” she laughed.

Still giggling as her mother nodded in agreement, she added happily: “Having some fun time with my mum.”

Shirley wrote in the caption of the upload that she was “excited” for this weekend with her mother after relocating to the UK.

“Shopping with my beautiful mum,” she penned. “Excited about Mother’s Day.

“Love my mum’s sense of humour always seeing life on the bright side.

“Enjoy your day everyone and call a loved one and share your day,” she told fans.

Last week, Shirley told her followers she had an “emotional day” as she packed up the last of her belongings in LA.

Standing in front of a full moving van, she said: “All ready to go, which is quite exciting but nerve-wracking at the same time. So, yep, we’re on our way to England!”

The Strictly judge also revealed she was most looking forward to seeing her loved ones back in the UK, calling the step “another chapter” in her life.

“Excited to be going home with loved ones,” she said.

“Today was an emotional day but life moves forward and as we know life is short,” she added.

“Every moment counts. Sending hugs to all that need it.”

Last month, Shirley, who joined the Strictly panel in 2017 after head judge Len Goodman, 74, stepped down, told the Daily Star that the move was a “really big deal” for her.

“I have some big things in my work and my life planned for 2019,” she said. “So it will be great to be back here.”

Elsewhere, earlier this year, the dance expert opened up about her love life, telling Lorraine viewers she was back on the dating scene.

“I have met somebody nice,” she told host Lorraine Kelly, 59.

The mother-of-one said her Dancing With The Stars professional dancer son Mark Ballas, 32, had encouraged her to get out there, saying: “He is wishing for me to have a good relationship over the age of 50.”
