Sheridan Smith has apologised for her ‘outburst’ on Twitter, where she claimed her fiancé Jamie Horn’s mum killed her dog.

The star tweeted: ‘Thought I would clear up my silly rant. Firstly, I apologise to anyone who was upset, I was hurt & angry but this was no one’s fault. It was an accident.

‘Unfortunately my darling Panny was being looked after when another dog attacked her & as a result she died. I’m sorry for my outburst.’

The Cleaning Up star went onto attach some sweet snaps of herself and her pup, captioning them: ‘#hurting #missher #sorry.’

Fans have been quick to show their support, with one writing: ‘Hope you’re okay. Please find help if you need it. It’s okay to not be okay.’

Another added: ‘Sending you a ton of love.’

Sheridan, 37, worried fans when she claimed in a tweet that she was ‘threatened every day’ by Jamie and his mother.

She tweeted to her 661,000 followers: ‘FYI if I ever go missing look at Jamie and his nut job mum x she killed my dog so this woman is capable of anything.

‘Also her son hates me like she does and they threaten me everyday x There it’s out there. God knows how this will end but I love y’all. x.’

She later added: ‘Just got warned to shut my mouth.’

The posts were soon deleted.

Sheridan got engaged to Jamie, 28, three months after they met on Tinder, and just a few days ago, the actress posted a sweet selfie with her fiance with the caption: ‘Two baked beans in a pod.’

The Gavin and Stacey star recently had to clarify things after affectionately calling Jamie her ‘hubby’ on social media. Fans picked up on the pet name and freaked out, believing the pair had already decided to tie the knot.

However, she explained she would let fans know when the big day arrives, saying: ‘Every time I call him my hubby people presume we are married, it’s just a nickname & I’ll let u know when we decide to get married.

‘I will want you all wearing hats please. So here is me pouting with the “fella”.’
