Sharon Osbourne has revealed she is now in quarantine as her three-year-old granddaughter Minnie has tested positive for coronavirus.

The TV star, 67, was due to appear on US chat show The Talk, where she is one of the presenters, but was forced to tune into the broadcast via video link as she’s been forced to self-isolate.

Appearing remotely, Sharon explained that her son Jack Osbourne’s youngest daughter has contracted the virus and the rest of the family are now quarantining as a precautionary measure.

She assured viewers that so far no other family member has tested positive for Covid-19.

Sharon revealed: ‘ I was meant to be in the studio, I was so looking forward to it. And then, unfortunately, one of my granddaughters has come down with Covid.’

‘She’s okay, she’s doing good,’ Sharon insisted, adding: ‘I don’t have it.’

She continued: ‘Her daddy doesn’t have it, her mummy doesn’t have it, her sisters don’t have it. She caught it from somebody that works for my son.

‘And it just goes to show you, she’s three years of age, that children can get Covid.’

Sharon explained that she has one week left in isolation until she can return to the studio to join her fellow co-hosts.

‘I’ve got one more week left of quarantining then I’m out. I keep testing negative, but you have to be safe,’ she said.

Minnie is Jack’s third and youngest child he shares with ex-wife Lisa Stelly, who he married in 2012.

The couple are also parents to daughters Pearl, eight, and Andy, five.

Jack and Lisa split after six years of marriage in 2018 and their divorce was finalised the following year.

Addressing their split just months after, Jack shared an emotional post on social media that read: ‘So, the news about us separating has probably come as a bit of a shock to everyone. But, we just want to clear the air and share with you what’s going on. So, first and foremost, we absolutely still love each other.

‘Our family is the most important thing in our lives and we tried everything we could for many years to make this work. What’s best for our family now is that we separate lovingly, and remain best friends who are committed to raising our children together.’

He continued: ‘We had 7 beautiful years of being a couple, filled with the most amazing moments and we will be eternally grateful to one another for that.’

‘We also have 3 wonderful children who we cherish more than anything,’ he said of himself and Lisa, who is now dating

‘We are disappointed but feel confident that we will continue to grow our relationship as co-parents and best friends.’
