Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne promise biopic will be relatable and definitely not ‘squeaky clean’

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne are set to have their lives together play out onscreen in a big screen biopic, with the pair now revealing exactly what fans can expect to see.

Unlike other biopics released in recent years like Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Elton John’s Rocketman, Sharon has assured fans that they don’t necessarily have to be a fan of husband Ozzy’s music to tune in.

Instead, she says the Ozzy Osbourne movie is a story about being a survivor and a look into her relationship with the Black Sabbath rocker.

One thing it definitely won’t be, Sharon promises, is ‘squeaky clean’.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, the former X Factor judge said: ‘Our film will be a lot more real. We don’t want it to be squeaky, shiny clean and all of that.

‘We’re not making it for kids, it’s an adult movie for adults.’

Sharon added: ‘I hope it will be a story that everybody can relate to… it’s a story about a survivor – no matter what life throws at you, you pick yourself up and you start again.’

She praised the upcoming biopic as an ‘amazing story’ of ‘overcoming everything that’s thrown at you’ and insisted it’s ‘not like any other story’.

Ozzy, meanwhile, teased that the movie will delve into his and Sharon’s 38-year long marriage, revealing how they met and the highs and lows they’ve faced together throughout the years.

Sharon and Ozzy – who revealed he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s earlier this year – are no strangers to putting their lives onscreen, as they starred in their own reality show The Osbournes on MTV for three years, with their two children Kelly, 35, and Jack, 34.

The couple’s eldest daughter Aimee, 36, chose not to take part in the show.

Appearing on US show Out Of The Box, Aimee recently revealed why she didn’t want to be on camera with the rest of her famous family.

She explained: ‘For me, I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and … I always really valued my privacy within that family.

‘And for me personally, and for who I am, you know, as far as morally and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn’t really line up with what I saw my future as.’

‘It definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me, and who I am, I just knew it was never something that I would have been able to consider realistically,’ Aimee said.

‘Weirdly, I think I was more mature then than I am now,’ Aimee added, joking that she gets ‘more ridiculous as I get older.’
