Set your alarms! This is the best time of day to have sex

Dr Shahzadi Harper, an expert in menopause and hormonal changes affecting libido, has revealed the best time to have sex is in the morning.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star Online, she said: “The best time to have sex is in the morning.

“Testosterone levels are high for both men and for women, they’re at their highest.

“Testosterone is the hormone which is predominantly the male hormone that men have, and women have it as well.

“It is for energy and for alertness and it’s what causes that sexy feeling.

“I would say the morning is a very good time.”

Testosterone is a hormone produced by the body and although women do produce it, men have far higher levels.

The hormone is responsible for stimulating sperm production, building bone mass and muscle and controlling your sex drive.

If men were to suffer from a low testosterone level, they can face a whole host of symptoms, such as fatigue, rise in body fat, hair loss and difficulty in achieving an erection.

Dr Shahzadi runs Harper Clinic on Harley Street, her areas of expertise include Menopause, polycystic ovarian syndrome, premenstrual stress disorder, healthy ageing and weight management.

It comes after a sex expert revealed a way men can last eight times longer during sex.

And only days ago, to celebrate National Sex Day, the best sex positions and kinky toys to try were revealed.
