She’s become known for her striking tennis outfits as well as her sporting abilities. 

And Serena Williams, 39, had one of her custom looks replicated into an adorable mini version for her daughter Olympia, three. 

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the toddler melted hearts as she mimicked her mother while practising her serves in a replica of Serena’s catsuit from the Australian Open.

Serena had everyone talking when she donned the one-legged suit at the Open in February, which featured a bold design and colourful blocking. 

Olympia wanted to look just like her mum as she too donned the outfit while posing with a tennis racket in the snap, which was captioned: ‘Practice makes….’ 

Although the outfit was Serena’s idea, she revealed that husband Alexis Ohanian, 38, was behind the post, and wasn’t too impressed with the execution.

Adorable: The snaps were taken by her father Alexis, who had taken the youngster to tennis practice in the adorable mini outfit 

Serena revealed that she had been waiting to model the suit together and was outraged that Alexis had taken snaps without her in them.

Commenting on the post, Serena playfully penned: ‘Awwwww mannnnnn I asked you to save this post until I was next to her side my side in my same outfit. 

‘Oophhh I guess I’ll have to pull the plug from your phone tonight. And you wake up wondering why you have no battery LOL [sic]’.

In October of last year Serena revealed on Insta Stories that little Olympia was following in her footsteps by signing up for tennis lessons.

However she was to be instructed by neither her mother nor by her aunt Venus who is also a tennis star, according to Serena’s posts at the time.

In fact Serena shared that the teacher they have chosen at that point had ‘no idea’ that her new pupil is the daughter of a world-famous athlete.

She also said she would leave the lessons immediately after dropping Olympia off so as not to be an ‘overprotective’ or ‘distracting’ influence.
