‘Self-entitled’ childless couple get rinsed for complaining about their neighbours’ ‘wailing’ baby in open letter

A COUPLE has been slammed for complaing about their neighbour’s “wailing” baby in an open letter.

The anonymous husband published their complaints in the Guardian, in a section called “the letter you always wanted to write.”

But they have since been blasted as “self-entitled” by fellow parents after their feedback was published on Facebook.

In his letter, the man explains that their next door neighbours now have a three-year-old toddler and while they don’t doubt their parenting skills, describe her as “boisterous.”

He goes on to explain how he and his wife are childless by choice, but their neighbour’s daughter had put a “strain” on their relationship.

He writes: “Her protracted wailing cost us dozens of hours of sleep at a time when our careers were stressful and demanding.

“It placed an unwelcome strain on our own relationship, and soured our enjoyment of our new home.”

While he acknowledges the difficulties that come with parenting he laments the neighbours, who are now expecting a second baby, for their lack of apology.

He adds: “You never apologised, or even mentioned it. I saw no evidence you ever tried to mitigate the noise for our sake, by moving her to another room, say.”

The letter has since gone viral, receiving thousands of comments on Facebook from fellow parents baffled by his complaint.

Commenting one wrote: “This is incredibly selfish. You can’t stop a baby crying sometimes, deal with it. I don’t even have one and that’s my view. So entitled, honestly.”

“Blimey imagine what it must have been like for the parents who were in the same room and couldn’t get away at all” agreed another.

While a third commented: “What a sanctimonious twit.

“The parents probably (very likely) have absolutely no idea the effect the baby’s cries have on him.”

However, there were a select few who agreed with the writer, praising him for his patience.

One said: “Amazing patience. I’d have definitely spoken to them and suggested they move the child to a room without a mutual wall.”

And a second added: “Everyone needs to show some consideration for others including the childless couple next door.”

In other parenting news, a mum has blasted a parent who sent their kids to school with cold McDonald’s claiming there’s “no excuse.”

Plus this woman refuses to buy her kids ANY Christmas presents – even though she can afford to.

And this “lazy mum” lets her son sleep in his clothes every night and ditches baths for wipes.
