Scots superstar DJ Calvin Harris turns hand to veggies and shows off carrot crop


Calvin Harris showed off his latest production – from the garden – which he credits to classical music.

The Dumfries born hitmaker, real name Adam Richard Wiles, who rose to fame with hits like We Found Love and Summer has been showing off the fruits of his success again.

This time round he grinned as he proudly displayed three succulent carrots grown from seed in his garden.

He also showed fans a video of him slowly pulling two of the earth covered carrots out of the ground.

Calvin, who has grown watermelons, kale, flowers and beets in his Ibiza allotment and at his Stateside home has said before that he play his plant classical music by late composer Leonard Bernstein.

He once showed off a huge watermelon saying: ”Absolutely buzzing with this guy! Grown from a seed.

“Six months in the making. Yes I played the seedlings classical music. Leonard Bernstein from the seventies tho cause I wanted that analogue saturation in my fruits. Success.”

American composer Leonard Bernstein, who passed in 1990, wrote the music for West Side Story, Peter Pan, Wonderful Town, On The Waterfront and more.

Friends remarked that Calvin’s carrot game was strong.
