Scots pals oblivious to hilarious late-night Jimmy Carr photobomb

A group of Scots pals were left stunned when they realised they’d been photobombed by one of the UK’s top comedians at the weekend.

And the funniest thing about the encounter for the gang, who were out in Glasgow city centre on Saturday night, was that they had no idea it had happened until the comic had disapeared.

The 8 Out of 10 Cats host appeared at the back of the friends when they were being snapped in the city’s Bath Street at just after 12am.

Not noticing the star had been captured along with them, the pals were oblivious as they posed for their photographer.

Sarah McCormick was part of the not-so-starstruck foursome, and proudly shared her memento of the random encounter on Twitter and it must have struck a chord with a few of the funny man’s fans, as the tweet went viral, garnering more than 19,000 likes.

Jimmy was in Glasgow for a performance at the SEC on Saturday night, and would have finished up with his show just in time to nip up the road for his unexpected next appearance.

Sarah may have been less than starstruck at the time of her celebrity encounter, but she was keen to reach out to the TV presenter and thank him for taking the time to pose with her and her pals, using his famous deadpan expression.

Sarah captioned her post “Not everyday jimmy Carr ruins pic time” and tweeted the man himself, saying: “Thanks man”. But she’s still waiting to hear if he’ll reply.

She told us: “He just appeared out of nowhere and we didn’t even realise what had happened until after he’d walked away!”.
