Scarlett Moffatt still messages Caroline Flack on Instagram two months on


Scarlett Moffatt has revealed she still messages her late friend Caroline Flack on Instagram two months after her tragic death.

The former Gogglebox star, 30, said she continues to feel “angry” and “hurt” about the former Love Island presenter’s death.

Caroline tragically took her own life on February 15 aged 40 at her north London flat just weeks before she was due to stand trial.

Scarlett told Kate Thornton’s  White Wine Question Time podcast that Caroline remains in her thoughts following her passing.

The reality TV star said: “I still message Caroline on her Instagram. I still message her love hearts.”

She added: “She is still in my thoughts. And also anger for what happened. Words do hurt. I am not 100 per cent like it doesn’t bother me.”

And Scarlett has bravely spoken about her own mental health difficulties, revealing that she turned to Samaritans for help after insults over her looks became too much to bear.

The 30-year-old said she called the mental health hotline regularly over cruel comments about her nose.

She would give them a fake name and chat for 15 minutes, something she said helped her a lot.

She told Kate: “I’d give a fake name and I’d chat for 15 minutes. It really, really did help.

“I was getting loads of stick. I was like, ‘It’s the nose I was born with.'”

She revealed her new tactic of coping with trolls is to give them the Samaritans’ number.
