A mum has shared a quick and easy way to ensure your baby’s bottles are free of any stuck on milk, and it’s all thanks to rice.
TikTok user @bebajimenez_ took to the social media site to unveil her top tip with mothers everywhere – and no doubt they’re feeling very grateful right about now.
So as long as you’ve got some rice in your cupboard, be prepared to no longer spend ages at the kitchen sink scrubbing away.
The short clip begins with the mum holding a used baby bottle in the sink, as she asks: “Stubborn milk recidue? (sic)”
She then runs it under the running water slightly before switching to a small cup of white rice.
“Grab some rice, pour it in the bottle, add soap and hot water,” she continues.
She then proceeds to give the bottle a good shake to ensure all of the rice touches all of the corners.
The user explains that she then uses a long washing up brush to get inside and clean all around, but adds: “It’s not necessary.”
She then show off the finished result – which is a brand new looking baby bottle ready for your little one’s next feed.
Fellow TikTok users were quick to comment on the super helpful post.
“I like how rice fixes everything,” one person wrote while another added: “I literally had the worst trouble about an hour ago with this same bottle. I’m trying this next time. Genius.”
A third person commented: “I just did this with two different bottles! One my toddler lost and had been under his bed for a few days, it cleaned it up so nicely!! Thank you!”
The handy TikTok video comes after another mum revealed an easy way to scoop ice cream for your kids without making a mess.
But Lynsey says that if you store the ice-cream container in a plastic zip lock bag in the freezer, it shields the tub from oxygen which will in turn stop it from crystallising and getting too hard.
Then, when trying to scoop out the ice-cream, you’ll be able to do so with ease – it’s perfect, really.
