Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds's Betty White birthday video

They costarred with this comedic national treasure in the fun 2009 romcom The Proposal, and 11 years later they made sure to wish her a happy birthday in the funniest way possible.

Legendary entertainer Betty White reached the grand old age of 98 on Friday, and to mark the occasion, her former costars Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds shared a giggly birthday message to Reynolds’ Instagram account in her honour.

The musical video message begins with a somewhat traditional and sweet rendition of the song Happy Birthday with alternating cuts between Ryan and Sandra, but soon, things go delightfully off the rails.

As the song reaches its natural crescendo, Bullock, 55, sings, ‘…from Sandy, who loves you more than Ryan’.

Then the video abruptly cuts back to Reynolds, 43, whose notorious comedic chops go on full display when he stops singing and says, ‘From Ryan, who loves you SO much more than Sandy’.

And then, as Bullock closes out the song with a final ‘Happy birthday to you,’ Reynolds continuously interrupts with one of his typically meandering sentiments:

‘What does Sandy do you for you every year? Does she, like, show up and hand-deliver flowers for you, wearing nothing but black socks and a dozen gold bracelets just like you requested?

‘Doubt it,’ he adds.

Sandy gets the last word, however, when she tells Betty ‘I love you’ and gives the camera a big kiss, as Ryan promptly breaks down into overwhelmed tears.

The message then closes with a birthday banner for the beloved nonagenarian entertainer, while the unmistakable melody from the Golden Girls theme plays.

Sandra and Ryan were romantically linked after they made The Proposal but they have never admitted to dating.

White, who in 2013 became the record holder in the Guinness Book of World Records for longest-running female TV entertainer ever, made her debut in 1939 and went on to win five Primetime Emmy Awards.

Only one of those honors was for her iconic role of Rose in the Eighties hit series The Golden Girls, however — she won two in the Seventies for her acclaimed supporting role as the vapid Sue Ann on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, one for a guest spot as herself on The John Larroquette Show in 1996, and one for hosting Saturday Night Live in 2010, when she became the oldest host of that show in history, at 88 years of age.

Amazingly, Betty didn’t slow down in her nineties, as she enjoyed a supporting role on the series Hot In Cleveland for which she was nominated for another Emmy, among others.

White was even seen Thursday, on the eve of her historic birthday, looking chipper with her unmistakable smile and coif of hair.

The icon was snapped while out running errands in Beverly Hills, California, on the arm of her driver, in blue slacks, a floral lighter blue blouse and a lovely red scarf.

White is the only surviving member of the Golden Girls crew, which included Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty and Rue McClanahan.
