The Love Island duo were coupled up for a while in the villa, though it was a tactical coupling to keep each other in.
While they were open about the fact they didn’t have feelings for one another, fans were hoping that eventually Dr Alex George and Samira Mighty would kickstart a romance.
However, the pair never started dating and eventually both dated someone new.
Almost a year on from when the pair first met, they shared a snap together after reuniting – and they looked closer than ever, and fans weren’t impressed.
While Samira was sitting on Alex’s lap and wrapping her arm around his neck, the pair were all smiles as Alex wrote: “School trip to NYC” on his Instagram.
The duo hit a whopping 93,000 likes at the time of publication, and while many fans were happy to see the pals reunite, many had a lot to say.

Alex appears to be happier than ever with his new girlfriend Amelia Bath, and the babe even went to the airport with her beau.

The doctor has remained close pals with his former Love Island contestants, and he’s been supportive of them since he came out of the villa.
Although Alex failed to find love during his time on the show, things definitely heated up for him with his new girlfriend.
Alex kept his romance quiet until the Christmas reunion where he spilled on the fact that he was seeing someone.
He went on to confirm who the babe was weeks later, and hasn’t been afraid to show her off ever since.
