Samantha Armytage recently admitted she is going grey. 

And the former Sunrise star, 45, proved she is just like the rest of us in lockdown when she appeared to reveal some regrowth in a picture on her Instagram stories this week. 

Samantha’s slicked back locks appeared lighter at the roots as she promoted the latest episode of her podcast on Monday.

Sam admitted she was going grey after sending her fans into a frenzy in June by sharing an Instagram image of her white hair.

In August, she addressed speculation surrounding the photo in her column for Stellar magazine.  

In her article, Sam confirmed that she had indeed used a filter on the photo before posting it’, before calling the reaction to the photo ‘absurd’.

‘What happened next surprised even me,’ she wrote, referring to the photo going viral and earning plenty of media attention.   

She then went on to praise Andie MacDowell for her ‘brave’ choice to embrace her natural grey curls on the Cannes red carpet in July.

‘How brave it is these days when a woman in the public eye allows a real wrinkle to poke through, or even some greys,’ wrote Samantha.

‘I AM going grey, that’s what happens when you’re lucky enough to get older,’ she captioned the post. 

The former breakfast TV host had previously admitted she’s ‘still paying my beautiful hairdresser a fortune to make me blonde.’

Samantha and Richard were married on New Year’s Eve in an intimate ceremony on his sprawling property in Bowral.

In June 2020, Samantha put her North Bondi home on the market, suggesting she was planning on moving to the countryside full-time.

She bought a $2.2million five-bedroom country estate in Bowral back in 2017, which was previously used as a weekend retreat.
