Sam Smith drops £12million on Grade II listed mansion after coming to terms with lifelong struggle

Sam has apparently snapped up this nugget of real estate gold

Sam Smith has dropped a rather cheeky £12million on a home after revealing they identified as non-binary, according to reports.

The singer is now apparently the proud homeowner of a delightful pile in an exclusive and leafy London enclave, just weeks after they came to terms with a lifelong struggle and explained they’ll now be known by them/they pronouns.

Surrounded by lush trees and shrubbery, the four-story mansion is leafy AF with hedges surrounding the property, making it oh-so cosy, secluded and seriously swanky.

Sam now calls Liam Gallagher and Jude Law neighbours in the affluent area, with the 27-year-old snapping up the five-bedroom, Grade II listed home in Hampstead, north London.

It’s reported their new home is moments away from an 18th century townhouse previously purchased by the singer in 2015. Over at THAT home, they call Culture Club’s Boy George a neighbour.

Neighbours in high places, are we right?

The superstar, who is said to be worth £24million, has been quite savvy with their dosh, with a source telling The Sun: ‘… they have also been very wise with their money, had sound financial advice and invested sensibly in bricks and mortar.

‘The new property is absolutely stunning and boasts a very colourful history.’

Last week, Sam posted a photo with the words ‘My pronouns are they/them’ as they captioned the photo: ‘Today is a good day so here goes. I’ve decided I am changing my pronouns to THEY/THEM.

‘After a lifetime of being at war with my gender, I’ve decided to embrace myself for who I am, inside and out. I’m so excited and privileged to be surrounded by people that support me in this decision but I’ve been very nervous about announcing this because I care too much about what people think but f**k it!

‘I understand there will be many mistakes and misgendering but all I ask is you please, please try. I hope you can see me like I see myself now. Thank you.’

They added: ‘I am at no stage just yet to eloquently speak at length about what it means to be non binary but I can’t wait for the day that I am. So for now I just want to be VISIBLE and open.

‘If you have questions and are wondering what this all means, I’ll try my best to explain but I have also tagged below the human beings who are fighting the good fight everyday.’
