Sam Neill and Laura Dern slotted straight back in to the Jurassic Park feel of things on day two of filming.

The actors – who appeared in 1993’s original and 2001’s Jurassic Park III – are reprising their iconic roles as Dr Alan Grant and Dr Ellie Sattler.

Two decades after they last filmed together, the stars joined forces once again for the latest installment in the dinosaur film franchise.

And it’s like they’ve never been away, judging by their cushy treatment on the set of Jurassic World: Dominion.

Sam, 72, shared a cheeky snap of their chairs, which are black and embossed with their characters’ names (we thought they should be T-Rex print but whatever).

‘Hello Old Friend. @LauraDern,’ he wrote.

The hashtags, ‘#JurassicWorld#JurassicPark#Day 2’ were added and he tagged co-stars Jeff Goldblum, Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt and director Colin Trevorrow.

Sam got fans all geared up for the first day of filming by sharing a photo of his Jurassic Park hat and writing: ‘Hello old friend.’

Fans have been counting down for production to begin ever since producers confirmed last year that the original cast would be back in action.

While Jeff made a brief appearance as Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom, Laura Dern last appeared in the franchise in Jurassic Park III, released back in 2001.

Jurassic World: Dominion is scheduled for release in June 2021.
