Sam Mucklow has quit The Only Way Is Essex to “take the pressure off” his romance with Shelby Tribble.
The pair were both absent from tonight’s episode of the reality show.
Sam shared the Instagram post ahead of this evening’s episode of TOWIE.
He captioned a series of snaps saying: “GOODBYE TOWIE!
“I made the decision to leave TOWIE.
“It was something I have been contemplating for some time and I finally had to make a decision about what I wanted to do…
“Me and Shelby Tribble have never been happier and we are continuing our little fairytale away from the pressure and anxiety from the show.”
The reality star recently announced his departure from the show amid rumours he’s engaged to his TOWIE babe.
He said in the lengthy statement on Instagram that he quit due to his struggles with balancing filming with work.
Sam admitted: “After the away trip in Spain I took a few weeks off of filming to try and get back on top of my work that I had let slide away from me.
“Juggling filming 3 days a week and trying to manage my various work commitments it was no longer feasible for me to continue on the show.”
His words accompanied a string of photos showing the Essex lad’s with some of his pals from the show.
There were a couple of cute photos of Sam with Shelby stood by his side.
The reality tv hunk shared the snaps with his 173k followers on Instagram and many flocked to the post to tell the star they’d miss him on the show.
One said: “Omg!!!! Will miss you both.”
While another wrote: “Good for you Sam! You’ll be missed but your deffo making the right decision.”
“Gonna miss you so so so much! And many people will continue to follow your journey through social media! Wish you all the best of look for the future! Be unstoppable!” gushed a third.
