Dave made headlines for all the wrong reasons in June, when he pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine at a pub in Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
The 27-year-old had been caught at the Beach Road Hotel on May 4 during a covert police drug operation.
According to court documents, Dave was seen acting suspiciously when uniformed police and a drug detection dog walked onto the premises.
Dave pleaded guilty to the charge at Waverley Local Court in Sydney.
He received a 12-month good behaviour bond and conditional release and no criminal conviction was recorded.
Sam and Dave, who had been friends for years, confirmed their romance in July 2017.
