‘I can’t hold a tune!’ Disgraced politician Sam Dastyari’s scenes BANNED from The Masked Singer because his voice was too bad

Sam Dastyari may have enjoyed his foray into reality television on the recent season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

But the disgraced politician, 35, has made it clear he won’t be returning to screens on the debut season of The Masked Singer Australia later this year.

Speaking to KIIS FM‘s Kyle And Jackie O Show on Monday, Sam revealed that he’d been asked to audition for the celebrity singing show but was decided not to go through with the embarrassing task.

‘They asked me to audition!’ Sam exclaimed while congratulating Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on her new gig as a judge on the show’s panel.

‘So, what, did you actually try?’ Jackie asked.

‘No, this voice singing doesn’t get any better! It’s hard enough getting laid in Sydney without video footage of me out there singing right now.’

‘I can’t hold a tune!’ he lamented.

Sam also described The Masked Singer Australia’s very secretive casting process and admitted he originally thought he’d been asked to audition for the X Factor.

‘They’re kind of vague with these kinds of shows,’ he said.

‘So a casting agent will call and say, ‘Can you just send in an audio tape or a video tape of you singing?’ I thought it was for X Factor or one of those kind of shows that have been around before because this is obviously new,’ he said.
