Sainsbury’s Easter 2021 opening times: When are stores open over the bank holiday weekend?

SAINSBURY’S shoppers will want to know when their local store is open over the Easter holidays for last minute chocolate eggs.

Over the break, supermarkets might open at different times to what shoppers are used to.

Here’s everything you need to know about when Sainsbury’s opens, and whether you can still get your groceries delivered home:

When does Sainsbury’s open on Saturday and Easter Sunday?

Last year, most Sainsbury’s stores opened and closed at their usual time the day before Easter Sunday.

Opening times vary depending on which store you visit, so it’s best to check ahead with your local branch for exact hour.

You can check opening and closing times by using Sainsbury’s store locator tool on its website.

On Easter Sunday, Sainsbury’s larger supermarkets will be closed in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Its smaller local stores will open from 7am to 11pm, but opening hours may vary, so its best to check ahead.

When does Sainsbury’s open on Easter Monday?

The majority of Sainsbury’s stores will open at their usual times on Easter Monday.

This is usually 8am to 8pm for larger supermarkets, or 7am to 11pm for small convenience shops – but check the Sainsbury’s online finder tool for specific hours.

Is Sainsbury’s delivering over the Easter weekend?

Supermarket delivery slots have soared in demand over lockdown, so you may struggle to get one in time for Easter.

The store is therefore prioritising vulnerable customers for this service.

Sainsbury’s has contacted 600,000 of its most vulnerable shoppers to organise home deliveries.

If you spend £40 or more, delivery costs start from a quid.

And if you spend £100 or more, delivery is free after 2pm Monday to Thursday.
