This Morning turned awkward today as Ruth Langsford spoke to Phillip Schofield during the show’s crossover with Loose Women.
Since the new schedule was implemented on ITV, Loose Women hosts have been joining Holly and Phil on This Morning to discuss what is coming up next.
But after Ruth decided to stay put, she and Phillip had an awkward exchange as he pointed out that she hadn’t joined them.
She said: “Hello, it’s just me, it’s just me on my own.”
Phillip replied: “Oh no.”
Ruth added: “It’s nice to talk to you two.”
Phil replied: “You could have come in here…”
Ruth said: “I could have, couldn’t I. I’ll do that next time…”
Phil joked: “You know where it is!”
It’s just across there isn’t it,” replied Ruth.
“I’ll find my way don’t worry about it.”
Ruth then quickly began to tell viewers what to expect from the Loose Women show today.
The pair haven’t been seen having a proper conversation since reports that Ruth complained about Phil’s behaviour after he interrupted her during the crossover.
She was seen throwing her pen in fury after snapping back at Phillip during the awkward clash, and was reportedly fuming after the show ended.
A source told The Sun: “Ruth and Eamonn both appear to be treated harshly by Phillip.
“After Phillip literally cut her off in the middle of a sentence on air when she was hosting Loose Women she decided enough was enough. Yet again nothing changed.”
