RuPaul’s Drag Race stars rally around Chi Chi DeVayne as she faces hours of dialysis for suspected kidney failure

RuPaul’s Drag Race stars have come out in full force to support fellow queen Chi Chi DeVayne as she battles suspected kidney failure in hospital.

The American drag queen, real name Zavion Davenport, is undergoing tests to determine why her blood pressure is high and in a fresh update, revealed she’s preparing to undergo three hours of dialysis.

‘They got my blood pressure down and all that good stuff,’ Chi Chi said in a video shared on Instagram.

‘But today, I have to undergo three hours of dialysis to see if they can get my kidneys back functioning.’

She added: ‘I let it go too long without going to the doctor and these are the consequences. Take care of your body.’

A number of former RuPaul’s Drag Race queens have shown their support to Chi Chi by sending well wishes and sharing her Venmo and PayPal details so fans can send money to pay for her medical bills.

All Stars season three winner Trixie Mattel wrote: ‘I don’t believe in much but ALL the love and healing energy to Chi Chi Devayne! Flawless, stunning, and we need her back on the stripper pole in top form!’

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Cheryl Hole added: ‘Let’s all join together and help our sister Chi Chi. If you can’t afford to donate, please send her well wishes and support during this time! WE LOVE YOU CHI CHI.’

‘Stop whatever you’re doing and send all the love and healing energy you can to Chi Chi DeVayne!’ posted Dax Exclamationpoint.

‘The world needs this queen back jumping off of impossibly high platforms into splits and acting like that’s a totally normal thing to do 5 nights a week. GET WELL SOON!!!’

Meanwhile, Kennedy Davenport penned: ‘Send a special prayer for my baby Chi chi Devayne. We need to bombard heavens gates.. speak her name and thank God for his will to be done.. speedy recovery baby girl..’

Replying to a fan who asked how they could help, Chi Chi wrote on Instagram: ‘I don’t have any merch but my Venmo is @Zavion-Davenport also my PayPal is chichikdevayne@gmail.com.’
