Rules of Roulette

Roulette was first introduced in the 18th century in France. By the 19th century it had spread over Europe and the US and became one of the most popular and famous casino games. During the first part of the 20th century the only casinos were Monte Carlo and Las Vegas, Monte Carlo offering a single zero French wheel and Las Vegas offering the double zero wheel. In 2016 The Venetian in Las Vegas introduced the first triple zero wheel. Now, even online, players can enjoy it anywhere at King Casino site.

The Red/Black, Evens/Odds, 1-18/19-36

This rule gives 50/50 odds of winning with a single bet as it gives players the chance of hitting almost 50% of the options on the roulette wheel. However, the payout ratio is low, bet £10 and win £10, however, that said the higher the bet the more you win. This is one of the safest and best roulette bets you can go with when playing the wheel. It works for beginners and the more cautious player unless, of course, you place a substantial bet.

Columns

Columns pays out 2:1 ratio so if you want something a little more exciting than Red/Black, Evens/Odds, 1-18/19-36 then this way to play will give you a little more of a thrill. This is the second best bet on the roulette wheel bringing options down to a little under a third. However, betting on a column still covers a significant amount of the table whilst doubling winnings.

Black and third column/Red and second column

This bet was really designed for players who like to hedge their roulette bets. On the third column of the board there are eight red numbers and four black whereas the second column is the other way round, eight black numbers and four red numbers.

This betting technique is a simple way to minimize loss yet efficient enough to generate a win.

Straight Up

As the name explains this is a betting method of just going with a straight roulette bet. It is extremely high risk, however, the pay out is a ration of 35:1. For the less cautious more experienced players this is definitely an adrenaline rush way of playing. The chances, however, of hitting your numbers are 1 in 37% or 2.7%.

Split Bet

If the betting strategy of Straight Up feels a little risky then a split bet may be the way to go. It is still a high pay out but with a slightly lower risk. As the name of the bet explains it is indeed a split bet where the player places a chip on the dividing line between two numbers. The pay out comes in at 17 to 1 but the chances of hitting your numbers are 1 in 18 so it does offer a lower risk but with a smaller payout.
