She recently surprised her fans when she revealed she had to undergo emergency surgery on her spine.

And on Sunday, Ruby Rose, 33, looked to be on the mend as she enjoyed lunch with a friend in Manhattan’s Soho neighbourhood in New York City.

The actress’s neck scar was on display as she roamed the streets, one day after she told of how a movie stunt left her at risk of becoming paralysed.

Ruby looked stylish wearing a black printed T-shirt and black shorts complete with an oversized orange and green coat. 

She teamed her ensemble with a pair of Valentino combat boots and a Louis Vuitton shoulder bag, which retails for $3600.

She accessorised the look with yellow love heart-shaped sunglasses as well as a Gucci baseball hat, which retails for $450.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Ruby revealed her health scare to fans while also sharing footage of her undergoing the emergency. 

She began in the caption: ‘To everyone asking about my new Pez dispenser scar on my neck, a couple of months ago I was told I needed an emergency surgery or I was risking becoming paralysed.’ 

‘I had herniated two discs doing stunts, and they were close to severing my spinal chord. I was in chronic pain and yet couldn’t feel my arms,’ she continued.
