Roxanne Pallett’s rumoured new man savagely tweeted about her during her now-infamous stint on Celebrity Big Brother last year.

The former Emmerdale actress, 36, was spotted looking pretty cosy with American entrepreneur Mike Etherington during a doughnut date in Manchester on Friday, that came four months after she was dumped by ex-fiancé Lee Walton.

Awkwardly, though, old tweets have now resurfaced of Mike publicly hitting out at Roxanne for falsely accusing Ryan Thomas of ‘punching’ her in the CBB house.

He tweeted that Roxanne was ‘manipulative and disgusting’ and even suggested she should be charged over the incident as it played out onscreens.

In the resurfaced tweets, Mike posted: ‘Manipulative, disgusting, attention seeking women who fake abuse, it’s not only a slap in the face of true victims but a slap in the face of the law.

‘This type of person needs criminal prosecution, equal to what a genuine abuser would face. #CBB’

‘Girls who lie about domestic abuse should face the same consequences as a genuine abuser would,’ he added.

‘There needs to be a strong deterrent as situations like this are a slap in the face to genuine victims, and it can undeservedly ruin a genuinely good person’s life forever. #CBB”.

Roxanne sparked national outrage last year after insisting Ryan punched her during a play fight – branding him a ‘woman-beater’ on CBB and drawing 27,000 complaints to Ofcom.

She later publicly apologised to Ryan and has since revealed she’s receiving treatment for PTSD, panic disorder and anxiety, following years of personal tragedies.

She took to Instagram earlier this month to explain her story – revealing she had been trapped in her family home when it caught fire, lost her grandmother to cancer, was previously in an abusive relationship, and had also lost her best friend to suicide.

Pallett stressed she’s now getting professional help after years of ‘hiding behind acting roles and photoshoots’ and urged the public to be more mindful of people with mental illnesses.
