Roxanne Pallett reveals how she dealt with anxiety following ‘punchgate scandal’

Roxanne Pallett branded her Celebrity Big Brother co-star Ryan Thomas a “women beater” after she took a play fight the wrong way.

Since then the 36-year-old kept a low profile and stayed off social media, although recently she returned to Instagram to talk about her mental health.

Opening up to her 45,000 followers in a lengthy post, the Cumbria-born lass detailed her struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and panic disorder.

Following suit in another post today on her Instagram stories, the star appeared to reveal how she managed to cope with her battles.

Roxanne uploaded a picture of a book called The Anxiety Journal that read on the cover: “Exercises to soothe stress and eliminate anxiety wherever you are.”

Adding an emoji of a black heart, she captioned the image: “This book is so helpful… #MentalHealth.”

Also in the same stream of images, she shared a quote pegged on a washing line that read: “Sometimes we fall apart so that we can put ourselves back together.”

This comes after Roxanne claimed to fellow housemates that Ryan had “repeatedly hit her in the ribs”.

Watching the clips back it came to light that the allegations were not as she described them, leaving everyone to support Ryan.

Speaking out after her exit from the Big Brother house, Roxy apologised in an interview on the Channel 5 Jeremy Vine show.

Admitting that “she got it wrong”, Ms Pallett told viewers: “I massively apologise to not just Ryan, his family, friends, his fans. Every single person who watched that and completely unjustifiably saw an overreaction to what wasn’t a malicious act.

“In the moment, because I am a sensitive, I mistook what was playful.”

Continuing, she said: “It’s the word deliberate I regret. I doubted his intentions. There was no malicious intent in that. I shouldn’t have questioned his motivation. I got it wrong.”
