Ross Kemp will be shedding light on the real battle against coronavirus and the ‘sacrifices that NHS staff make’ in a gripping new ITV documentary.

The 55-year-old television personality announced today on social media that the show – called Ross Kemp: On the NHS Frontline – will air next Thursday and urged everyone to tune in.

“My team and I have been embedded in Milton Keynes … to tell the story of Covid-19. To show you, the sacrifices that NHS staff are making on our behalf,” Ross says in the video.

In the caption, Ross explained the premise of the show.

NHS staff have been praised as the ultimate heroes during the coronavirus pandemic

“can’t wait to watch this!! It’s so important that people see what it’s really like, hopefully it will then make people think before going out unnecessarily! #nhs,” explained another.

The announcement comes just one day after it emerged that some NHS doctors and nurses were ‘gagged’ from voicing their concerns over the lack of PPE equipment publically.
