Ross Kemp teases return to Albert Square and Emmerdale

EastEnders hardman Grant Mitchell looks set to return to Walford.

The 55-year-old actor played Phil’s brother from 1990 until 1999 before reprising the role various times over the decades..

Ross most recently returned to the soap in 2016 when he returned to the square to attend the funeral of his on-screen mum Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor).

Soap fans may also remember that before he become a Mitchell brother, Ross starred as short-lived character Graham Lodsworth in Emmerdale in the late eighties.

Teasing his return to soapland, Ross told Metro.co.uk: “I would never rule out EastEnders – nor would I rule out a return to Emmerdale Farm.

“I don’t think you can rule anything in life to be honest with you, having been around the world and seeing how incredibly short some people’s lives are.

“I think while you’re on the planet, you should enjoy as much as you can, as long as you’re not harming other people while doing so.”

After years of taking on gangs, Ross has admitted that acting is still a passion of his.

“I enjoy doing it and I trained three years to become one a long time ago.

“It’s not bad when you’re working. It’ s just not very good when you’re not.”

EastEnders legends Pasty Palmer and Lucy Benjamin recently made a return to the soap as Bianca Jackson and Lisa Fowler respectively.

Ross says he would never rule out a return to EastEnders or Emmerdale

With Sharon and Keanu’s affair set to be rumbled over the festive period , 2019 seems the right time for the mechanic to return to the square.

Could Grant be heading back soon?
