He impressed viewers during the show’s launch by courageously taking on the plank walk challenge at the 32-storey Focus Building near Brisbane, Australia.

Kemp also bonded with former X Factor winner and Rak-Su member, Myles Stephenson, before revealing his phobia of frogs.

Roman was born on January 28, 1993 – which means he’s 26 years old at the time of writing. 

He was born in Los Angeles but grew up in the picturesque county of Hertfordshire in England.

Who are his parents, Martin and Shirlie Kemp?

As you may have picked up from his pre-jungle VT, Roman is  the son of musical royalty.

Not only is his dad Martin Kemp, of Spandau Ballet fame, but his mother is none other than Shirlie Kemp, who sang with Wham! and as part of Pepsi & Shirlie.

The pair tied the knot in St Lucia in 1988 and are still together to this day.

Mum Shirlie revealed what the biggest challenge for her son will be in the Jungle in a recent interview with Capital FM, and also warned other camp mates to “watch out” for Roman’s budding bromance with Myles.

Does Roman have any siblings?

Martin and Shirlie Kemp also have a daughter named Harley Moon, who was born in 1989.

Is Roman in a relationship?

Roman and his girlfriend Anne-Sophie Flury have been dating since early 2018 and made their red carpet debut at this year’s Brits.
