Roman Kemp has arrived in Australia ahead of his entrance in theI’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

He’s landed at a troubling time, however, just as a scandal is brewing over previous ‘abusive’ social media posts that were found on his account.

He was in good spirits as he wheeled along his suitcase after landing at the airport in Queensland.

Taking to his Instagram story recently, he shared a video with his 204,000 followers, explaining: ‘I wanted to talk about something I’ve seen a lot of celebrities talking about, and people around the world talking about, and that is the use of language online.’

‘Being totally honest, I’m shocked and appalled and ashamed to say I did find things,’ he continued. ‘I did find things I’m not at all proud of. I don’t associate myself with that. I know the person who wrote those things is not the man I am now, but they were there.’

The 26-year-old had previously been mired in a social media scandal in the wake of backlash he recieved after criticising K-pop group BTS.

He admitted that he was ready to delete his social media following the row, where he was forced to apologise after allegations of racism.

The son of Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp was unveiled yesterday as just one of a particularly stellar line-up for the next series of I’m A Celebrity.

Very soon, he will be a camp mate in the Australian jungle Picture: Rex

The DJ and model will be joining reality TV icon Caitlyn Jenner, Girls Aloud pop siren Nadine Coyle and football legend Ian Wright as a campmate in the Australian jungle this year.

Also in the line up is Rak-Su singer Myles Stephenson, who sparked rumours he would be heading down under when he was missing from a recent appearance with the band

Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, Eastenders actress Jacqueline Jossa and comedian Andrew Maxwell complete the set.

I’m A Celeb is known to bring in surprise new additions to the camp halfway through the show, so we’re expecting to see new faces as the series goes on.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returns 17 November at 9pm on ITV.
