Romma have reportedly offered Pedro Rodriguez an escape route from Chelsea after talks collapsed over a new deal.

The Spain international’s contract is expiring in the sumer and his five years at Stamford Bridge is set to come to an end.

He has won the Premier League, the FA Cup and Europa League during his time in English football but the 32-year-old is set to move on.

Pedro has featured just nine times in the league this season, scoring once and providing one assist, and has failed to establish himself as a key part of Frank Lampard’s plans.

The World Cup winner has now been offered £2.7million-a-year to join Italian giants Roma, according to The Mirror.

There is also substantial interest from the MLS to sign the Spaniard.

Pedro is one of several veteran Chelsea stars expected to move on this summer.

He recently told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser: ‘My contract ends soon but right now this is not the most important thing. I haven’t even stopped to think about this.

‘The most important thing is for everyone to show solidarity. Whatever happens regarding my future will happen but right now is not important as we don’t even know when we will return to training. ‘

Willian is also out of contract and has struggled to agree a new deal, with Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain both keen to sign him.

The Brazilian, 31, wants a three-year contract but Chelsea chiefs won’t extend his stay for more than two years.

Olivier Giroud, whose contract is also expiring at the season’s end, is also set to leave.
